# Cardano Civics Committee Governance

The general decision-making process is (in order):

1. **Consent-based:** just act based on what you think people will want. If nobody objects then everything is fine.
2. [**Consensus-building**](https://community.apache.org/committers/consensusBuilding.html)**:** seek indications of consensus from the relevant group
 1. Voting: the relevant group votes explicitly (this is an example of consensus-building since it aims to get the group to come to a more explicit consensus)
3. **Escalation**: the issue is raised to a higher decision-making body if a consensus cannot be reached
 1. Structural issues (e.g. disciplinary action) are escalated to Governing Board
 2. Content issues are escalated to community vote

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://committees.docs.intersectmbo.org/intersect-civics-committee/about/archived-pages/civics-committee-governance.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
