Notes

MCC Remit Update

Lorenzo suggested reviewing and updating the MCC remit (last updated in early 2024) to ensure alignment before the 2026 budget season begins.

The board will review budget proposals against the public remit for consistency.

2026 Budget Timeline

Lorenzo outlined the upcoming budget process: draft readiness by end of February, internal reviews in March, and submission alongside the main Intersect proposal in early April.

A high-level guidance document was shared for committee feedback.

Onboarding & Town Halls

Maureen updated the "Start Here" document. Abhik clarified that Intersect Town Halls occur the last Thursday of every month at 12:00 PM UTC via StreamYard/YouTube.

Action: Maureen to add specific Town Hall details to the onboarding documentation.

Member Area Updates

Maureen updated the GitBook and members area, removing inactive names and adding current members.

Members are encouraged to verify their names on the updated site.

Community Support Framework

Fanny presented a Phase 1 blueprint (Jan–Mar) for recognizing community support roles, including community builders, educators, and technical contributors.

Fanny plans to launch a Google Form to collect contributor data and spotlight missions.

Contributor Spotlights

Chaya confirmed she is working on regular articles and posts for Discord, X, and the Intersect development letter to highlight enterprise and community members.

Fanny’s blueprint will help standardize documentation for these posts.

Guest: Dora Hacks

Steve (CSO of Dora Hacks) introduced their platform's capabilities for launching and managing hackathons using AI to streamline logistics and developer engagement.

Steve emphasized that hackathons are the beginning of ecosystem building, not just one-off events.

Hackathon Follow-up

Jose shared experiences from Latin American hackathons. Steve offered Dora Hacks as a unified platform to track global Cardano events and support teams post-hackathon.

Action: Abhik to coordinate a pilot program call between Dora Hacks and the MCC hubs team.

Budget Framework Proposal

Fanny proposed a standardized 2026 budget framework for MCC workstreams, including templates for requests and cost breakdowns to ensure operational continuity for hubs.

Volunteers: Wilco and Chaya will assist Fanny in drafting the budget request templates.

Hub KPIs & Benefits

Akheel shared a draft of the 2026 Hub KPIs focusing on growth, retention, engagement, and governance. He is also refining membership benefits for enterprise members.

Documents have been moved to the MCC 2026 Google Drive folder for review.

Multilingual Support

Discussion on translating materials into French and Sinhala for upcoming elections. Boaz and Laurentine were identified as multilingual leads for the French-speaking community.

Action: Lorenzo to facilitate using the "Pro Editor" tool for community-led translations.

Async Communication

Maureen and Wilco expressed frustration over "silos" and lack of response in Discord. The group discussed the legality and necessity of internal work calls between public meetings.

Decision: Elected members are encouraged to meet internally provided they keep records/transcripts of their progress.

ClickUp Training

Fanny and others reported access issues and difficulty navigating ClickUp. Abhik offered a "ClickUp 101" session on Google Meet to resolve these blockers.

Action: Abhik to schedule a one-on-one/group training session within the next 48 hours.
