Decisions/Actions
Decisions
Chair Elections: All committees must now follow the newly approved IC policy for electing leadership rather than automatic succession.
Hub Reporting: The committee will move forward with a "Regional Delivery Layer" model for 2026, shifting away from the previous "Standalone Hub" funding style.
Election Frequency: Agreed to add two additional election-specific sessions on Mondays to support the candidate phase.
Actions
Abhik: Setup a ClickUp form and registration process for election candidates to join upcoming X Spaces.
Committee Members: Audit the Google Drive and ClickUp to mark documents as "Complete," "Draft," or "Adopted" for the incoming committee.
Chaya: Coordinate with Anuj (GMC) regarding the consolidated marketing budget and pitch deck.
All Members: Retweet election comms from Lolli and the main Intersect account to boost applicant numbers.
Maureen/Sanjaya: Finalize updates for the Town Hall presentation this Thursday.
Topic
Discussion
Notes
Technical Setup
Meeting began with technical issues regarding "Contributor" vs. "Participant" roles in Google Meet, restricting some members from unmuting.
Lorenzo noted Google Meet updates often change permissions; Terence confirmed members were added correctly.
Pre-Election Priorities
Discussion on essential tasks before the April term ends. Focus is on organizing the Drive and ClickUp so new members aren't "lost."
Maureen called for volunteers to help audit working vs. completed documents.
New Chair Policy
Simo clarified the new Intersect-wide policy for electing Chairs/Vice Chairs. The Vice Chair no longer automatically becomes the Chair.
Policy approved by IC to ensure standardized leadership transitions across all committees.
Election Comms
Abhik announced an X Space featuring OSC, ISC, and MCC to promote committee elections and share positive member experiences.
Upcoming Town Hall (Thursday) and Virtual Hub session (April 16) will also focus on elections.
Hubs Post-Mortem
Debate over the 2025 Hubs report. Abhik noted a lack of granular data on spending (e.g., receipts for food/drinks) from the previous year.
Maureen emphasized the need to show ROI to the community to justify future funding.
Forward-Looking Models
Cullah explained that 2025 hubs were largely private contracts, making retroactive data disclosure difficult. Proposed moving toward an "event-based" model for 2026.
Budget "Penciling"
Lorenzo confirmed he has "penciled in" initial numbers for MCC events and localized comms into the main Intersect proposal to the board.
Final numbers depend on the committee refining their specific initiative documents.
Dora Hacks Proposal
Maureen questioned the inclusion of a specific hackathon proposal in the budget without full committee agreement.
Lorenzo suggested members use comments to "tear apart" or refine the budget draft.
Translation Success
Boaz and Laurentine reported that over 2,000 terms (paragraphs, buttons, etc.) have been translated into French and are now live in the Members Area.
Abhik confirmed the "FR" (French) and "SI" (Sinhala) toggles are now visible on the site.
Member Rewards
Maureen reminded members to claim their monthly rewards via the dashboard, which requires a short paragraph summarizing their monthly contributions.
Governance mechanism to ensure accountability for stipends.
Enterprise Outreach
Chaya reported meeting with promising enterprises and guiding developers toward Cardano/Midnight spaces at upcoming conferences like Consensus.
Ongoing focus on bridging developers to technical resources.
Indonesian Governance Guide
Fanny is writing an introductory book on governance and Intersect in Indonesian, with plans to translate it later.
Aims to simplify complex Intersect systems for regional users.
Marketing Pitch Deck
Chaya is developing a marketing strategy and pitch deck for Cardano to be reviewed by MCC and potentially shared with GMC.
Anuj (GMC) invited Chaya to join their next call to coordinate marketing efforts.
Committee Coordination
Anuj and Maureen discussed the overlap between GMC and MCC meetings. Terence noted that secretaries will address these overlaps post-election.
Candidate Spaces
Sanjaya and Abhik proposed using the "off-week" Mondays for special election spaces where candidates can campaign and introduce themselves.
Action: Abhik to create a ClickUp form for candidates to sign up for speaking slots.
