He introduced himself as the Committee Secretary and Intersect Membership Lead. | Acknowledged the high candidacy turnout and successful election execution. |
| Outgoing Chair Recognition | Abhik thanked Maureen for her leadership over the last six months, noting her work in building upon the foundation set by the previous chair, Darlington. | Maureen provided brief closing remarks, welcoming the new cohort. |
| Governance & Discord Access | Maureen flagged concerns regarding her removal from internal Discord channels. Simo clarified that this is standard policy for all committees when a member's term expires. | Maureen was added back as a "visitor/observer" for transition purposes. |
| Leadership Transition Policy | Maureen questioned the automatic move of the Vice Chair to Interim Chair. Simo explained the new IC-approved policy: if a Chair is not re-elected, the Vice Chair acts as Interim Chair until new leadership elections. | Leadership Election: Scheduled for the first week of June 2026. |

| Committee Structure | Abhik outlined the hierarchy: Vice Chair, Secretary, and Elected Members. He emphasized active participation in workstreams and meeting preparedness. | Members encouraged to meet independently without the Secretary if needed. |

| Onboarding Pack | Abhik shared the onboarding presentation link containing Bylaws, Code of Conduct, and policies. All elected members are required to review this. | Stressed the importance of following "Robert’s Rules" for transparent decision-making. |
| Current Initiatives | Major workstreams include: Membership Value/Benefits, Onboarding Engagement, Regional Participation (Hubs 2.0), and Feedback/Reporting. | The committee is exploring "Regional Delivery Layers" rather than just funding standalone hubs. |
| Q\&A: Workshops & Events | Anuj inquired about hosting in-person meetups at global events like DevCon Mumbai (Q4). Sanjaya confirmed there is a budget request for regional meetups and events. | This aligns with tapping into "new crowds" rather than existing ecosystem members. |

Chaya is focusing on onboarding enterprise members from the Midnight side. | MCC aims to act as a "Town Square" for un-highlighted Cardano builders. |
| Accountability & SME Roles | Abhik noted that members who were not elected but came close (like Wilco) might be looked at for "Subject Matter Expert" (SME) or volunteer roles. | Wilco reminded the committee to review the "Membership Value & Offering" document drafted by Lorenzo. |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://committees.docs.intersectmbo.org/intersect-membership-community-committee/committee-meeting-notes/2026-meeting-minutes/meeting-minutes-may-12-2026.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
