| Topic                                  | Discussion                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          | Notes                                                                                                              |
| -------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Welcome & Quorum Verification | Abhik opened the meeting and conducted a roll call. Seven elected voting members were confirmed present, establishing a valid voting quorum. | Meeting recording and transcript capture were confirmed active at start. |
| KYC Verification System Updates | Sanjaya and Lorenzo discussed ongoing ID verification issues affecting non-English and regional documents (e.g., Sri Lankan national IDs). Lorenzo clarified that proof-of-address requirements were removed and that Sumsub provides manual review fallbacks. | Action: Members experiencing KYC issues should submit details to <support@intersectmbo.org> for manual processing. |
| Public KYC Announcements | Martin and Chaya proposed publishing a social media update on X to inform the community about recent KYC improvements and the removal of the proof-of-address requirement ahead of upcoming votes. | Chaya agreed to draft the X post content following the call. |
| Sumsub Account Reuse & DIDs | Olivier M. asked whether KYC verifications completed via Catalyst could be transferred. Lorenzo noted that data compliance regulations prevent direct cross-organizational sharing, though users with existing Sumsub profiles or decentralized identities (DIDs) may experience simplified logins. | Future cross-platform integration remains aligned with DID standard development. |
| Q3 Review & Q4 Planning (Mirror Board) | The committee conducted timed brainstorming sessions on the Mirror Board to capture Q3 achievements, Q3 blockers, and Q4 strategic priorities. | Results will feed directly into the upcoming Steering Committee (ISC) report. |
| Key Q3 Achievements Captured | The committee logged key successes: establishing the weekly X Space Open Office Hours, onboarding new Enterprise members (Perpex, QuillAudits), deploying the unified MCC Working Group, and delivering website translations. | Translation contributions continue across multiple regional languages. |
| Q3 Challenges & Risks Identified | Blockers logged included: low meeting attendance impacting quorum at times, budget constraints/delays, multi-time zone coordination friction, and the need for localized non-English governance documentation. | Lorenzo noted GitBook's multi-language feature could be tested on the MCC GitBook space. |
| Q4 Strategic Priorities Set | Priority focus areas set for Q4 include: launching the Associate member reactivation email campaign, establishing an MCC YouTube channel, deploying contributor tracking/rewards, and driving regional event grants. | Board presentation slides will be finalized ahead of the September 28 quarterly event. |
| Macro Intersect Budget Approval | Lorenzo confirmed Intersect's overall budget was approved, securing $4.5M in stablecoins (converted via Moneta from an initial $6.3M request). Regional activation and event proposals can move forward for review. | Proposals under $10K undergo simplified review; larger requests escalate to executive leadership or the Board. |
| Enterprise Onboarding & Comms | Anuj, Chaya, and Abhik discussed maintaining momentum on Enterprise onboarding. Abhik confirmed he will share an updated, verified list of all 28 current Enterprise members to align weekly newsletter spotlights. | Weekly updates will continue to feature enterprise contributions. |
| Associate Member Reactivation Campaign | Abhik shared a draft email initiative targeting over 5,900 Associate members to encourage upgrades to paid Individual status. Terence suggested testing a 90-day trial or conducting user feedback interviews to validate perceived perk value. | The committee will asynchronously review and refine the draft text. |
| KYC & Member Area Promotion | Terence highlighted the need to educate members on navigating the Member Area dashboard and collecting earned event badges as an engagement driver. | Social posts and onboarding materials will incorporate dashboard guidance. |
| Social Media Monitoring & Escalation | Olivier M. flagged public posts on X regarding member non-renewals. Lorenzo advised against public debates on social channels, suggesting instead that the team track posts internally and reach out directly to resolve misunderstandings. | Action: Abhik to set up a internal tracking board/sheet for social media feedback escalation. |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://committees.docs.intersectmbo.org/intersect-membership-community-committee/committee-meeting-notes/2026-meeting-minutes/meeting-minutes-september-1-2026.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
