The **Civics Committee** and its working groups are open spaces for Intersect members and the wider Cardano community to engage in shaping Cardano’s governance. Whether you want to observe, contribute ideas, or stand as a voting member, there are several ways to get involved.

### Observe Discussions & Meetings

* **Discord** – Join the Intersect Discord or contact Civics Secretary (<mark style="color:blue;"><larisa.mcfarlane@intersectmbo.org></mark>) to view and take part in open discussion channels:
  * **Civics Committee**
  * **Governance Health Working Group (GHWG)**
  * **Governance Education Working Group (GEWG)**
  * **Constitution Amendment Process Working Group (CAPWG)**
  * **Constitutional Committee Elections Working Group (CC Elections WG)**

### Become a Voting Committee Member

If you’d like to take an active role in decision-making:

* Put yourself forward in **Civics Committee elections**, which are held **twice yearly (April and October)**.
* Elections are run through the **Membership Area** on the [Intersect website](https://chatgpt.com/c/68c16340-1f08-832f-8f7e-93f73fc6d6b5#).
* Please note: you must be a **paid Intersect Member** to stand as a voting committee member.

### Join a Working Group

Working Groups (such as GHWG, GEWG, or CC Elections WG) are open to contributors from the community.
