What do you think the MBO’s primary strategic goals and objectives are or should be for the next 3-5 years?
  1. Adoption /User acquisition/Blockchain Interoperability

  2. Ecosystem growth hacking

  4. Responsible Treasury Management for long term protocol viability/health

  5. Increase blockchain performance, maintain/improve rate of innovation, to accommodate future use on a global scale.

Can you describe the current composition of the Board and the skills and experience gaps that the organization is looking to fill?

In general I believe the board has excellent depth in the technical filed but lacks business developers, business operations, marketers, finance/capital allocation & raising skill sets. With my background I can bring these skills to the board.

What are the key challenges and opportunities the MBO is currently facing?

Challenges: Successfully engaging with Tradfi, Funds, Web2 & other Businesses. They still perceive "Foundations" to be the primary POC for protocols. Changing the narrative is critical and an opportunity. Another challenge is having the proper "staffing" to be a growth, business development organization, of which Intersect must embrace as a key role

How does the MBO measure success and performance, both at the Board level and operationally?

MBO membership and participation numbers continue to grow, the community through governance votes to continue to fund Intersect, competing MBO's do not arise, successful strategic partnerships are led by the MBO.

What do you think is the relationship between the Board and the Executive team?

The board role is overseeing and advising the executive team to ensure it operates effectively and in the interests of it's members and the Cardano community. The board's role includes: Setting the MBO's vision Managing the MBOs reputation Allocating resources Appointing senior management Making major decisions Evaluating performance Serving on committees The board operates independently of executive team and day-to-day operations.

What are the key expectations for the Non-Executive Director (NED) role in terms of time commitment, specific responsibilities, and contributions to Board meetings and committees?

Near full time commitment, specific responsibilities and contributions as stated in question "What do you think is the relationship between the Board and the Executive team?"

What/who do you think are the MBO’s key relationships with external stakeholders, and how does the Board engage with these stakeholders?

Cardano CC, dReps, Founding entities, other MBO's, outside organizations such as VC's, Tradfi, Corporations, other blockchains and their entities, the Cardano Community, media, governmental bodies/regulators essentially anyone that has a impact on crypto & Cardano

What do you think is the MBO’s approach to risk management, and what are the top risks that the Board should be aware of?

Foster a culture of accountability and transparency, with frequent audits and other guardrails. Conflicts of interest among Board members and their outside affiliations. Additionally competition from other MBO's.

How should the MBO support Board members in their roles, including providing information, training, and resources?

For non-technical individuals provide training on key protocol parameters, frequent communication & updates, formal training where necessary
