MCC Criteria:
There is no specific criteria for applying to this committee
Is there a particular role within the committee that you are interested in, if so which and why? (if applicable)
I want to apply for the MCC Lead for Education role. I currently teach blockchain at a community college in Canada and see a significant need to expand the Cardano education footprint to attract and retain developers and end-users.
What is your experiences within Intersect and Cardano?
My Cardano journey started in 2021 with the Plutus Pioneers program, and I have worked on several open-source Cardano impact projects. I currently teach at the Blockchain Development Program at George Brown College in Toronto and run the Cardano Blockchain Toronto community meetup group with over 620+ members. I have also published the Ultimate Cardano Smart Contracts book and hosted and attended the CIP-1694 workshops.
What are your pledges and plans should you be elected?
Advocate for hackathons and educational workshops at blockchain conferences and community events. Identify post-secondary educational partnerships and sponsorships to promote the Cardano blockchain and ecosystem.
Why should the community vote for you?
I have been involved in Cardano for the past three years, learning new technologies and helping others along the way. I enjoy giving back to the community and am passionate about blockchain's potential for social good. I currently run the Cardano Blockchain Toronto community meetup group and am actively involved in the Toronto Web3 community.
